The parquet floor is one of the largest surfaces in the house. It is therefore important that wood flooring does not emit chemicals into the indoor air that are harmful to people, such as formaldehyde. Even in small amounts, formaldehyde is known to irritate the eyes and respiratory tract. It is also suspected to be related to asthma and allergic symptoms. WINco sells no wood flooring that fails to meet the most stringent standards. Many of our suppliers were among the first in the world to completely abandon the use of formaldehyde-containing adhesives in their products.

At WINco, we value biodiversity and follow the principles of sustainable development and ethical business behaviour. Our raw material comes from European forests with pEFC and FSC certification. Our products comply with all EU directives and the most demanding adhesive and emission classes in the world. We also strive to utilise the waste and by-products created in production. For example, sawdust produced as a by-product of saw milling is used to heat the drying kilns. Part of the electricity is produced by the solar panels.

Because wood is a living material, its volume changes with changes in air humidity and temperature. Therefore, the glued parquet joints must withstand even highly variable conditions. WINco parquets are regularly tested according to the most stringent quality standards.

WINco is one of the pioneering parquet companies in surface and colour treatments. Although we do not use endangered, naturally dark wood species, we still offer our customers dark-toned floors by staining oak ethically and ecologically. The natural qualities of the wood species can also be accentuated by various surface treatments. WINco parquets are delivered sanded or brushed and finished with UV-hardened wax oils, varnishes or natural oils.

Wood flooring is comfortable and pleasant when installed on an underfloor heating system. WINco oak parquets are very suitable for use with underfloor heating. Our parquets are best in places where the room temperature and air humidity are uniform (18-24°C / 30-65%) and the temperature does not vary more than 2°C. Underfloor heating should be evenly distributed over the entire floor surface. Follow our installation instructions to ensure the best possible result.
